Gateway and Conventional medicine - Dr Andrew Field
As a health professional I greatly value the input of conventional medical doctors and request that patients inform their GP they are receiving treatment where appropriate. Research suggests that most people do not tell their GP they are using complementary medicine, and ultimately this means that doctors may not fully appreciate its benefits or understand its potential usefulness. Some doctors are especially open minded and respectful of patients wishes to try other forms of treatment and I am fortunate to be supported by Dr Andrew Field, with whom I am able to discuss clinical issues.
